Camelacus (Cáemlach?, Camulacus)
The seventh-century Antiphonary of Bangor contains a ‘Hymnus sancti Camelaci’, an abecedarium beginning, ‘Audite bonum exemplum’, which has been tentatively attributed to Carthach (qv) (d. 637) of Rahan and Lismore. It is likely that it is a very early specimen of Hiberno-Latin verse.
