The Dictionary of Irish Biography has a set of guidelines for contributors, outlining the basic minimum elements required, to aid them in researching and writing DIB entries.
The DIB also has a specific set of conventions related to abbreviations of organisations and certain publications as well as an editorial style that should be adhered to.
When commissioned, DIB contributors will be given a suggested word count and asked to submit their entries in a format and style compliant with these conventions.
